Ross Rankine Scores Podium Finish at Kil-Kare Raceway

Brownsburg, Indiana (July 16, 2011) — Ross Rankine continues to run strong in the USAC Midwest Ford Focus Midget Series as he claimed a third-place finish at Kil-Kare- Raceway in Xenia, Ohio, on Friday night, July 15. Ross was driving his family owned Ford Focus midget at Kil-Kare Raceway because during the last Indianapolis Speedrome event his usual Nine Racing #9 Ford Focus midget sustained extensive damage as a result of a first lap crash. Ross climbed in to his father's Ford Focus midget and was quick right off the trailer.

Ross established the pace for the night by setting fast time. Due to the inverted field, he started further back and claimed third when the checkered flag waved. Ross continues to dominate the USAC Midwest Ford Focus Midget Series points standings as he has a 187-point lead over second-place James Robertson.

Ross Rankine's next race will be at the Bryant Heating & Cooling Indianapolis Speedrome on Wednesday, July 20 and he will be back in the familiar Nine Racing white #9 Ford Focus midget.
